Vintage styled shapewear

I came across some luxurious pieces of lingerie in the Bordello showroom today and couldn't resist trying them on and sharing it all with you!

The first was the Catherine rose girdle dress, by Fifi Chachnil. This quintessential French lingerie designer needs no introduction, as any lingerie lover can spot a Chachnil design like a pair of red soled Louboutin in a sea of shoes. 

I tried on the rose pink girdle dress with the matching briefs. Both have been designed and finished with pretty white lace and cute turquoise bows. The center panels on the girdle dress are made of silk satin, with the side panels in a contrasting soft pink mesh; allowing the sweet bows on the brief to peek through.The minute I slipped into the girdle dress, I felt really feminine and found it to be very flattering. It's just a very beautiful piece of lingerie to wear with a strong vintage feel. The fabric is quality and feels gorgeous on the skin. It also comes in black, which I'm rather excited about!

Fifi Chachnil

I also tried the corselette by What Katie Did which is a combination of both a bra and a girdle, in other words, a damn sexy piece of vintage shapewear! This I tried underneath my little black dress, helping me to achieve the perfect vintage glamour silhouette and it made a big difference! Holding me firmly in all the right places, the power mesh was lifting, tucking and ultimately making me feel incredible. Best thing is, it was impossible to tell I was wearing the corselette under my dress, with the smooth finishing and tight fit. Wearing stockings was made easy with the six garter straps and meant not having to mess about with a suspender belt or girdle.

Now knickers or no knickers that is the question! It's really open for you to decide (pardon the pun) as corselettes are long enough to cover the bottom, finishing just at the top of the thigh. Since Bordello stocks the vintage style panty girdle to match I gave it a try. These are  high waisted brief made from sculpting power mesh with a glamorous satin front panel. We also stock the vintage style french knickers, which are excitedly completely sheer with a satin rim on the waist.These have always been a good seller at Bordello apparently. I can see why, they do make you feel very naughty!

Be Lascivious

I’m reviving the Fashion Lingerie Bordello blog, to once again tease you with all the latest goodies we have coming in: selling out and of course my long lusting list of favourite things. The Bordello showroom is newly set up in a secret East London location, Madame Bordello, is busy taking private appointments and filling the showroom with beautiful selective lingerie and toys, all for your pleasure and mine.

With it now officially being Summer, I’ve found the perfect range of lingerie to wear; the Kitty and Simone raspberry, designed by luxury British brand Lascivious.

Standing in front of a mirror, dressed in the Kitty set with my derriere exposed through the ouvert briefs, suspenders firmly stretched across my thighs, and my breasts bearing all through the perfectly cut cupless bra. My reflection screamed serial tease, I could feel my playful side coming out. I thought this Kitty lingerie set was designed for me to have a lot of fun with.

The bright pink kitty set is flirty, fun and sexy. I like the layering of the soft tulle ruffles on the briefs and on the bra. The suspender belts additional darts help to enhance my small frame, and the silk binding and taffeta bows are the perfect finishing touch.

A second favourite, is the eye-catching Simone raspberry range with its balcony bra. I found it to be really comfortable, flattering with underwire support; giving me a generous cleavage. The neon pop of pink silk against the black tulle is a beautiful contrast, and this summer's hot new trend. Which I absolutely love. Wearing the matching briefs and suspender belt, my reflection this time whispered provocatively sexy and in control.
